Happy NEW YEAR & ONE LAST POST FOR 2007!

It's almost 2008 which means it's time to make some New Year Resolutions and stick with them. This year i've decided there are a few i'd really like to have and keep with them.
1. try to cut down on my yelling and loud voice
2. really try to be a better parent and have more control over Hannah instead of always negotiating...i'm not sure how to do this yet.
3. Be a better wife...maybe cook some instead of making my hubby cook every night.
4. Try to conserve some...cut off lights...be a bit more frugal...put MORE money aside for college for the girls...not spend so much money on the house..etc.
5. Cut back on starbucks...it's one and maybe my only addiction besides reading blogs of Moms of multiples that live in my shoes :>)
6. Be more conscious about what i eat...YEP that does mean try to loose some baby weight! DUH!
7. Not play on the darn computer soo much!
8. Cut back on drinking...no i'm not a alcoholic but i drink a beer or maybe two with dinner most nights...it keeps me sane with 3 kids! LOL
9. Not be too much of a neat freak...learn to deal with a dirty house every once in a while...
10. RELAX a bit more...stop worrying about things i can't change.

OK, that's more than enough for this year...i'll let you know Dec 31, 2008 if i actually end of keeping with them the whole year through! Cross your fingers for me.

Other than that...i was thinking back on last year at this time. Talking about really living a nightmare! We had just gotten home with the girls...our house was open to the elements...and the whole side of the house with bedrooms was FREEZING b/c our contractor abandoned his job. WHAT A MESS! Maybe that's part of the reason i don't have very good memories of the first few weeks of being home from the hospital! It was really something i would never wish on my worst enemy! We were living in Hannah & the girls room, the girls were in the room with us and Hannah was living in the office. We used our now bedroom to put the changing table in(The bedroom we were in was so tight with a pack n play and a bed we jsut didn't have room) and i dreaded getting up in the middle of the night to go change a diaper b/c it was SOO cold in our real bedroom! We had plastic on the carpet b/c of the mess...it was an overall horrible situation. This year is SOO different. The girls are through their rough/crying stage...i'm much happier and feeling like a brand new woman with 3 beautiful babies...no more baby blues...no more being stuck in the house b/c i was scared to get out with 2 or even 3 kids. NOW i can take 2 or even 3 babies out at the same time ALONE! It's amamzing what can change in a year!

One thing is still the same...we are still going to miss midnight this year...i won't see the ball drop :) That's my life and i wouldn't change it for any amount of money!

Happy New Year to you and Your Family!
Love,
Brenda

Twincess Party

Happy First Birthday to my baby girls! This was one great birthday to remember. Thank you to all that came to celebrate the big day with us! Here are a few of the many pics of the special occasion!

Sarah on left. Sam on right...I think!

Out in the front yard with their cute little yard sign.
What would a party be without Balloons?! They stood their so sweet and still, posing for the camera!

Hannah LOVES to dress up and pose for the camera...don't you love her new rain boots? She loves them and wear them EVERYWHERE!

We had a Twincess party yesterday for the girls birthday! It was nice and everything turned out really well. Now i'm ready for a few weeks of R & R from all the people we've had at our house the past week and a half(no offense to anyone but i like to have a break from the rush for a while).

The party was fun, fun... but we really missed having Amy, Brian and their family over for the party(Hannah esp. did b/c she loves E,T, & N). Melody did stop by for a bit even though i warned her that the girls had been sick and had just taken their last bit of antibiotic(having premmies, you have to be really careful b/c of the chance of RSV and any other germs in the air). The girls are growing like weeds and just precious and soo sweet. Our neighbor Stacy & Rob also came over and brought sweet baby Adeline for a bit...we found out the exciting news a few days ago that they are going to have another GIRL! Congrats to them...we can't wait to meet her in May! Anyway, we all had a great time and everything turned out just as planned. The cake was AWESOME and the outfits were precious!

So here are some cute pics from the party. Sam just dug into her cake right away...Sarah had to have a bit of coaxing from Tara(our favorite babysitter or all time) and Bev(Tara's Mom). All Sarah really wanted to do was poke her fingers into the cake and not really try it. Samantha LOVED the cake just as she did the cupcake i baked a few days ago. They both LOVED the cheesy bread(seriously, they ate 4 pieces). We blew up the jumpie thing...but no one really jumped in it very long b/c it was so cold outside and overcast. Hananh had a blast
with her cousin Allison, as she always does...eating, playing, chasing and sometimes fighting! That's part of life though & i just hope they stay sooo close because we love Allison so much and love to watch them grow up together and be best friends! :)

Ok, here are some great pics!
A pic of all the cakes together...before the mess! These cakes were awesome! The lady that made them, makes tons for my MOMS group! She did such a wonderful job.
A pic of the big cake! The bow on top is foundant and tastes like melted marshmellows. Definitely more for pretty than to eat.Sam's smash cake above...Sarah's smash cake below! Everybody kept asking...those are for them? I feel like they should be a cake to share in itself. They were really big...and so cute. Sarah diggin in. I wish i had gotten a close up of the onsies...The onsies say "1 Sarah (on the front) and the back says twincess! Add that to the tutus and you have two sweet cute baby girls! Samantha diggin in...she probably had a belly ache from all the food she ate...UGH!Sarah delicately poking the cake! Soo cute!Sam wasn't so delicate! She looked like a pro at digging in and eating her cake!Hannah just watching the girls dig in to their cakes...did she eat any cake..NOPE. of course not!Melodies miracle babies..Sydeny on left, Katelyn on my lap...Sarah poking Sydney's buttons!Melody, Ben and all the girls...and me holding Katelyn! Katie is such a sweet little quiet precious baby! Me holding Katelyn, Sydney playing with Sarah...suprisingly Sam didn't attack or try to bite anyone! LOL!
This was MY favorite present...Melody made it for the girls. It's a bow holder. I had bought one already from the lady that makes my bows..but this one is just TOO cute! I already got rid of the other one.

Please Pray for baby Solomon

My friend Amy's little 10 day old baby boy Solomon Werner is still in the hospital in Level 3 NICU...please pray for him. He's really sick and now has an infection in his mouth on top of the pref orated bowel that he had surgery on 8 days ago. It just seems like it's one thing after the other for her and her family. Please pray that baby Solomon starts to gain some weight, as he's lost about 1 lb and they can't feed him food until his insides are completely free of bile and infection. Please pray that as soon as he can start eating...he gains some weight back and can take 3 ounces per feed as he can't go home from the hospital until he can take 3 ounces at a feeding. Please pray that her mom & dad stay well as they are taking care of Ethan, Tabatha & Naomi while Amy & Brain are at the hospital daily.

This doesn't happen often...both babies falling asleep on the couch! SOO CUTE!

Think that's all the pics i have for now! Enjoy & Happy New Year! This year we're doing what we always do on new years...maybe staying up past our bedtime...till 10ish...have a couple of drinks...put the kidos to bed and waiting for the dogs to go crazy from the fire crackers and gun shots! YEP...you read that right...the crazy maniacs down a few streets away in the gheto get out their guns and shoot at midnight...scary right?! I'm thinking next year we'll start some kind of tradition with new years eve...at my parents house we always stayed up to watch the ball drop & ate tons of fritos and homemade french onion dip! YUMMY! I'm sure we'll figure out something by next year!
