Christmas Party at Bobs House. We are in the BIG D for a xmas party tonight. It's going to be F-U-N! We are really excited as we haven't been to a xmas party at Bob & Theresa's house in a LONG TIME with our lives being so crazy! We are staying at a nice hotel with a heated pool and hot tub..and we've already made one trip down to the pool. IT'S SOO Weird here today. Everyone must be gone for Xmas already..the hotel is EMPTY and the ROADS WERE PACKED FULL OF PEOPLE! Tomorrow we're going to visit one of Pauls buddies from childhood through college. We haven't seen Dale & his wife Roseanne, since the babies were just a few weeks old. I'm really excited to see them..and i hope our kidos don't destroy their house(LOL)!

This week has been crazy busy..next week should be much better, as Hannah's out of school and i'll probably just keep the girls home Tue to keep them away from any yucky germs they could pick up. Our plans are to spend xmas eve/xmas day at our house and then head off to S. TEXAS to visit with Pauls parents.

Pauls Christmas Party...

Pauls Christmas Party this year..was held at a BAR!  YES, YES, my 2 year old twins AND my 4 year old went to a BAR!  LOL!  Not really MY way to have a XMAS party..lots of smoke and alcohol(since it's outside the city limits)...BUT despite the smoke, we had a good time.  Next year WILL be better...since the girls were really making me nervous climbing up and down off the slippery chairs, but the best part was that all the guys that work Pauls overnight shift(the ones that actually fix the wheels) showed up.  It's always nice to see them and their kidos.  Most importantly, we got to see Javiers baby(see below, Paul holding the sweet little baby w/a head full of hair).  He was soo sweet and calm the entire time..the twins were a bit jealous about Paul holding this foreign baby, but were sweet w/ him and pet his head and checked him out!

I just got word that my Cousins' son passed away last night. Colin(my second cousin) was very young(13) and just in 8th grade. I don't have any details. I'm so shocked i can hardly type or think straight. I just talked to my aunt(my dad's twin sister) not too long ago(a month or two) and i'm soo sad for them. Please keep my dad's sister in your thoughts and prayers..as well as his whole family.

Out of respect for our family..i won't be posting for a few days..it's getting close to the girls birthday and i had planned on starting our count down to two..but it's just too very sad of a time right now to be all excited.

On the news this morning..there were at LEAST 12 wrecks on the freeway(NO ONE HURT..THANK GOODNESS).  Good for Pauls business..bad for the cars that weren't prepared to drive in ice this morning.  YIKES!  I'm going to have to start really early this morning.  No bridges for me!

DREAMING OF A WHITE CHRISTMAS...a few days early!

This was off of the chron.com/drudge report. I went to close the blinds in the front of the house and low and behold..the ground was COVERED in white. AMAZING! TWO days ago we were wearing t-shirts/shorts and it was almost 80 degrees. NOT TODAY. TODAY it's low 30's and SNOW! We HAD to wake up Hannah and let her see a little snow on the ground. TOO BAD pipes aren't wrapped and things may freeze. This weather was SOO un-expected! I had to call my parents and my sister after 9p, just to tell them to check out the ground! I wonder if HISD has SNOW days! LOL! TOTALLY KIDDING..b/c you know tomorrow the temps will be back up and we'll be back in shorts soon! :)

I must have taken 50 pics..i'll add them tomorrow while i'm back at HEB again, waiting on my car to get finished up.

White stuff fell across much of the Houston area Wednesday evening, as temperatures hovered just above freezing, tying a record for the city's earliest ever snowfall.

Since 1895, according to data collected by Houston's Weather Research Center, snow has fallen this early just once — on Dec. 10, 1944 — during the last 113 years.

Typically, snow falls about every four years in the Houston area. The city's last snowfall was a memorable one, coming on Christmas Eve 2004.

Forecasters at the Houston/Galveston office of the National Weather Service said clouds and precipitation should give way Thursday to sunshine and warmer temperatures, with highs expected to reach the upper 50s.

Overnight lows for all areas but those north and west of Harris County were expected to stay above freezing Thursday, if only by a few degrees.

A chance of rain returns to the forecast Sunday, as temperatures gradually warm, said Paul Lewis of the National Weather Service.

Snowfall in the metro Houston area on Wednesday caught forecasters somewhat by surprise. A significant chance for snowfall didn't show up in computer-model forecasts until about 9 p.m. Tuesday.

"The midnight crew adjusted the forecast at that time," Lewis said.

Because the ground in the Houston area was relatively warm — 77 degrees as late as Tuesday afternoon — neither snow nor ice was expected to stick to the ground and cause major transportation problems for long.

Still, because temperatures were expected to dip below freezing overnight, the weather service issued a Winter Weather Advisory on Wednesday evening for much of Southeast Texas, including Harris County, because of the potential for slick, icy conditions north of Interstate 10 on bridges and other exposed areas.

Daytime highs should return to the 70s by Sunday. Early next week, possibly on Monday night, another cold front is expected to reach Houston.

But forecasters don't expect it to pack the punch of this week's chilly frontal system.

SNOW IN H-TOWN!

CAN YA"LL BELIEVE IT"S SNOWING IN TEXAS..HOUSTON, TEXAS! YAHOO! WE are SOOO excited. Can't make snow balls..but snow none the less!

SO, i spend my time sitting at HEB waiting for my car GPS to be installed..and thankfully have my handy dandy laptop!  AHH..the technology we have today is AWESOME! 

 

So here are some lovely pics of my girls SECOND xmas..And let me tell you, they are LOVING the xmas tree.  I can't even tell you how this year is soo different.  We set the tree up on Sunday day.  That night as it got darker and darker..Sam walked by the dining room..and her eyes lit up like the 4th of july.  I mean..like never before.  She was SOOO excited to see the tree w/ all the lights.  It actually brought tears to my eyes to see how excited and happy she was that the tree was soo bright.  This is what Christmas is all about..watching your kidos as they are finally able to experience all sorts of firsts.  That night they wanted to sit in front of the tree and just watch..watch nothing, but just staring at the tree and my three beautiful girls was so much fun.  Hannah then wanted to sing the carols she needs to learn in the next week and a half.  SO, we got out her song list and sang some songs.  SOO much fun!  BUT, on top of that..the twins are totally learning their ABC's..SO, they wanted to sing the ABC song too!  It was PRECIOUS, i wish i had some video as we sat by the window and sang songs..it had to be VERY cute. 

 

Here are a few pics of the tree during the day..and can i just say: GOD BLESS the person that invented shatter proof ornaments..it's well worth the money to buy a few, if you have kidos!  We've been just skipping the ornaments all together for the past few years.  THIS year is so much nicer to have ornaments on the tree.

The tree..if you look very closely..all the ornaments are at the BOTTOM of the tree.  Definitely a kiddie tree!

This SHOULD be on a totally different post..but i'm lazy.  SO, check out Hannah's little kiddie table.  This is what happens when you leave your hubby in charge for a few minutes so you can clean the kitchen.  NICE..no more crayons for the babies when mommy isn't supervising.

 

Talking about my ARM HURTING..i had to get a little pan scrubber to get all the crayon off the table.  Any faster ways to clean off crayon??
