A fun Birthday at the Fire Museum!

 

 

 

  

 

 

 

 

 

Today we went to  Zachary's 5th birthday party at the Houston Fire Museum.  What a great idea...and what a fun time.  The kidos all had a blast.  And what mommy doesn't like to hang around with other mommies and chat!?  I sure do!  Hannah had so much fun playing with Lilly, Auburn, Samantha, Zachary(of course) and all the other kiddos!  It was a fun, busy day and tomorrow is going to be just as fun!  We are going to see baby Gavin in the morning!  I'm sure i'll have TONS of pics to share when we get home! 

 

P.S. the beds are still doing just fine & on a sad note: i've sold one baby crib!  It made me realize that my babies, just aren't babies anymore.  They are really growing up & becoming such sweet little ladies.  Today they actually played almost all day w/o incident.  The three girls played with a jump rope and took turns and all had these REAL conversations.  Sam would say...Go ANNA(Hannah) GO and then GO SISSY GO!  They ALL THREE played so nicely together...it was a breath of fresh air and i'm soo ready for more days like this!  Today reminded me why i'm a SAHM and given up so much...to see these beautiful precious girls grow up, right before my eyes.  I mean, what more could a mom ask for, than 3 beautiful precious daughters.  Today is the reason we've had to deal with our share of stress, crying, sleepless nights and more.  Today my girls treated each other like best friends.  Seeing that i haven't grown up close to my one sister...i know that i'll make SURE my girls are always best friends..and even though i know they'll have their moments and fights...they will NEVER EVER NOT have a sister to go to when they need someone to talk to or cry with!  And, although they'll always have me...they'll also, always have one another.  

Gma & Gpa M came to visit...

Gma &he Gpa M came to visit, on their way down to S. Texas.  We all had a blast..but of course they didn't come to see us, they came to see the girls.  The kidos already miss them soo much!  They had lots of fun bonding with Gma & Gpa,and i think they are finally growing out of that scared stage or clinging to mommy & daddy 24/7!  We hope to see them again soon, now that they are closer to our house!  We are dreaming about March/April, when Paul & i will get our first night in 2 years & 3 months away, TOGETHER!  YAHOO! 

 

Does it look like the girls had fun or WHAT???  They had SOO much fun playing with Gma & Gpa!  They Love the girls SOO much..and the girls LOVE them and love playing with them.  Sarah kept saying "Pa Pa..Pa Pa?"  For some reason, she's really growing a liking to men...she says "PA PA?"  ALL the time!

Hannah's been waiting to open up the moon sand since XMAS...I saved it just for Gma & Hannah..they had soo much fun.  Of course, GMA wouldn't be GMA if she didn't bring her own, home-made play dough along too!  Gma has all sorts of fun things up her sleeve when she comes to our house, whether it be making a doll cake or playing with home made play dough! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Since i haven't posted in a while..i have a very funny story(as usual)!  I write about these on my blog so that: 1) i'll remember them later, 2) because they are normally very funny and i figured most people can always use a laugh or two. :)  So, on Tuesday i knew i was planning on voting.  I ordered my shirt ahead of time and i knew i was planning on wearing it THAT day.  I never really watch the news so i honestly had no idea you weren't allowed to wear any political clothes to vote.  SO, i walk in with this shirt that says: my name is Jane on the front.  On the back it says "i'm Jane the Plumber, don't take me for working hard!"  OMG, i thought the shirt was HILARIOUS..BUT on the front it obviously had johnmccain.com, OOPS!  Well, i went in, voted and Paul was behind me.  I walked out after i "cast my ballot" and Paul came out a few seconds after me and said the guys were in their talking about me.  I said WHAT?  He said one guy asked if we were allowed to wear those shirts into the voting polls...OOPS!  I guess i will make a mental note for next time..  I mean seriously, it's kinda goofy that you can't wear political wear to the voting polls..i mean WHY would i buy it if i couldn't wear it to the polls?  SO, anyway, that afternoon i went to the mall and then to taco bell for a bit of lunch.  There was a lady sitting right across from me with a big OBAMA face staring right at me!  LOL!  THEN another guy walked by me and said "NICE SHIRT"!  LOL!  The lady gave me one big glare as she figured out what my t-shirt actually said on it!  SOO FUNNY!

 

Uh, did i mention that in TWO weeks i'm going on my first ever, since the girls were born, girls trip.  I'm meeting my best friend from HS, in Austin in TWO weeks from today!  We're going to hang out, drink, maybe go to the spa, maybe swim some, or whatever we feel like doing!  I'm SOOOOO excited.  No babies hanging on my legs, no crying, no noise what so ever for TWO whole days...did i mention i get to REALLY SLEEP IN!  I wonder if i'll actually miss the hustle and bustle of my normal life when i'm gone...Hmmm..PROBABLY NOT!  I will miss my babies a bit and my hubby..but i'm ready to hang out with Auntie/God Mother of the twins, Katie for a few days!

Yep, they are all in one bed..or three toddler beds put together.  We'll see how it turns out in the morning.  I'm headed off to bed very early, just in case things don't go as expected.  Wish us luck! 

 

I did ask Hannah if she wanted to put her bed together with the girls...she said YES!  SO, that is what i did!  I hope they all sleep even better..Man, i know when i was young i LOVED sleeping in beds with my sisters!  SO, lets hope they like it just as much!

Yes, those are my sweet baby girls, taking naps in their big girl beds!  I re-organized their room today(my favorite past time) and this is a pic of their new digs.  SOO sweet and quite.  If Hannah wants me to, i'll add her bed to the mix and make it a 3 bed/toddler bed! :)  We'll see what she says when she gets home from school!

 

P.S. Alyssa, yes, you are right..i don't regret it one bit.  They do love their big girl beds..and i'm anxious to get rid of those ugly un-matching prisons cribs! 

Halloween 2008! Again, what a difference a year makes...

We had a wonderful time trick or treating, despite being exhausted and feeling like we hadn't had a good nights sleep in a while.  The girls had a blast..and Adeline and Rob, who live across the street, came with us, which was TONS of fun! 

SO, here are the pics...Hannah was a candy corn, Sarah was a lady bug and Sam was a bumble bee.  I don't think the twins actually wore their entire outfit ONE time.  BUT, they did wear the leotard and i put bows in their hair in lieu of the little head bands that wouldn't stay in their hair.

 

P.S. The girls did great in their big girl beds.  YAHOO!  Paul said someone got up about midnight screaming...i was so tired and not feeling well, from what i think is a sinus infection that won't go away, that i didn't even hear them! 

Of course, we couldn't have picked a crazier weekend to put them in their big girl beds...DAY LIGHT SAVINGS TIME, For heaven's sakes..what was I THINKING???!!!  SO, technically they got up at 5am..but really 6, which is their normal time to get up!

She was having a ball..soo happy and ready to sleep in the cool new bed! UNTIL, we turned off the lights and shut the door! YIKES! she screamed like never before..for about 2 minutes! All is quiet now!

Sarah was loving it and didn't make a peep..as long as she had her puppy and her lily! SOO cute and sweet!

I can't believe we did it...but i have been looking forward to this day for a LONG time.
