A day at the ZOO!

Saturday we took a trip to the zoo! We actually had a nice busy weekend! Here is a shot of the girls and I checking out the meerkats! Daddy checking out the meerkats!
A Meerkat!
I don't remember what these animals are...but they were having a ball tearing up boxes and all sorts of fun things!

Hannah & Sam watching a arangoutang(Spelling)...I was calling them "monkeys" b/c it's hard to explain to a 2 & 4 year old why they aren't actually monkeys. There was a little boy beside us and he asked his mom..."mom these aren't monkeys, are they?" The mom said NO, your right. It was funny!
Another shot...the aroungatang(spelling) came right up to Sam and touched the window and FREAKED her OUT to no end! She was screaming...the poor guy totally startled her!

Sitting waiting for the monkey to come out and play!
Watching the animals!

The girls did decide they wanted to walk...they did SOO good! All holding hands and staying close together!

Checking out the flamingos! They were STINKY!
My Sweet Hannah..she is TOO CUTE!

The Monkeys...picking fleas! The Monkey was checking us out!

THE END!

To The Commenter "Mom of 4"

I tried to find a blog for you...but i don't think you have one. I just hope you read this b/c i wanted to email you back and tell you, thanks for the info! It's VERY IRONIC that you commented on this b/c Sarah just got bit again by a fire ant and her toes are all swollen again! We're speculating it MAY be staph again! I wonder if i can get her tested to see if she's a carrier of MSRA?! I'm giving her benadryl and waiting for Monday to come so i can call her dr. and take her in to be checked and see about testing! I want to say she has been bitten by ants before and never been so swollen. I dont' want to over medicate her though...and her become immune to the antibiotics for staph. That is what i worry about. I may call to see if they can test to see if she actually carries the staph on her skin. Hmm...

Anyway, i really appreciate your comment. I think we are going to try the bleach baths starting today. I don't want this to go on and on and on....I want to nip it in the bud soon!

We're definitely going to have to try something so i don't worry everytime we go outside, that she'll get bit by a bug and get infected again! It's scary and we have yet to go back to the splash pad where this all started b/c i worry about bites.

Thank you again for all the info.

Playing Hooky from school!

These past few days have been GEORGOUS! HOT, but georgous and not so humid. Which, if you know anything about the Bayou City weather, you know what the humidity does for good hair! I can look like i have beauty queen hair one minute, but the minute i open the door(not even having set foot out yet) my hair can look like i just rolled out of bed and then stuck my finger in an electric socket! YIKES!!

So today, since it was a mere 78 degrees when i checked the temp and the humidity had to be WAY down, we decided to play outside for a while..that while turned in to a few hours..riding battery powered cars(that i probably broke b/c i decided i HAD to get on it myself and see if i could ride it, COME ON, you know you have a little kid in YOU too), riding bikes, pushing babies around in their cars, listening to the doodlebops, dancing under the porte a cache, eating snacks and drawing with our cool sidewalk chalk. The best part of the day was, walking down the street with my kidos surrounding me and not worried about one car passing us by. I absolutely LOVE our neighborhood & will miss it, when it's time to move on It's so nice, peaceful and quiet.

Hannah stayed home today. She woke up last night to potty around 1230a. I seriously i was actually waiting for her subconsciously b/c the minute we saw the door open, i jumped up to take her to the potty. I don't think i slept well last night..b/c it's like i knew she was going to get up to potty. She did indeed. Then she got up this morning and pottied one more time...and has been ok, since then.

Some cute pics from our fun Friday! My girls hanging out with snacks!
One more cute pic!
Playing with chalk

Hannah is so sweet with the girls!
another shot playing under the porte a cache
Sam & Hannah!
Sarah loves feeding Sugar...

That is our street...one big reason why we love our neighborhood soo much. No sidewalks..BUT no traffic! We LOVE IT!

One more shot going down the street!
My girls! Sarah is obsessed with her LILY! She has to have her ALL THE TIME...she yells LILY..LILY & kisses her all the time! Hannah never did this..so it's REALLY cute to
see a child bond with a baby doll! Hannah stuck in the ditch!
OK, this is FUNNY to me...but also j ust to document what a grumpy old man out neighbor is...that is our fence on the right. You can hardly tell but if you look straight down the big tree on the right is ours. It hangs over on HIS side. He seems thinks that it's our job to have it trimmed...but it's on HIS property. We ALMOST gave in..or Paul almost t did. Then he came over hooting and hollering for the 20th time and Paul said fine..go get someone and we'll pay half. Well then the poor grumpy old man had to open his mouth a bit too much and told Paul."well when you get someone, you make sure they put those tree limbs on YOUR property so the heavy trash guys don't tear up MY grass". LOL! Paul couldn't believe his ears. He was pretty upsett. That is when he finally decided to NOT deal with him anymore. The poor old guy is so annoyed with us he's telling everyone that Paul hasn't been here(at home) in two weeks, which is total BS. I mean Paul's home everynight...just not on old mans time. I feel horrible about the whole ordeal..i really do. BUT, the poor old man needs to get a life...and move on with bigger and better things to hoot and holler about.

This was a great pic from the day...Sarah riding on the back of Hannah's bike. Totally dangerous..but soo much fun!
Sam took a turn too!
On on the back of Hannah's bike...one on the battery powered bike. SOO much fun!
Walking down our street. Hannah suckered Sarah into pushing her in the car. SOO FUNNY!
Sugar getting ready to attack the quad...

A Picnic at the Park!

Saturday we went to the Zoo and then had a picnic lunch at the park. It was SOO much fun and georgous! We had lots of fun..relaxed some and enjoyed our day since everyone is finally poop free and feeling better! :)

Here are my girls feeding the birds!

SENDING A MESSAGE TO US WEEKLY!!!

***UPDATE***
Paul said he heard that 10,000 people have cancelled their subscription as of today! I think that's great! WAIT, MAKE THAT 10,001, as of today! Don't you think someone is going to get it, for writing THAT article! I don't mind all the bs and goofy lies about the superstars..i believe it's kinda funny. We all know that most of the stuff isn't true. Plus, they are all used to it. BUT, this innocent sweet family didn't deserve this!

Yes, Brianne was correct. US WEEKLY has truly offended me! I'm not a hard core Republican as my husband is...but i married him and he taught me many things i didn't know before, about politics. Anyway, that is beside the point. I think anyone and everyone that reads/subscribes to US weekly should CANCEL their subscription! I sent them a rather funny email, since they DO close at 4pm even though you get all these crazy solicitors calling your house LATE at night. GO FIGURE! I CAN'T BELIEVE they could stoop soo low. I do enjoy reading the magazine, or i did! BUT, putting this poor lady in the magazine with her sweet baby boy makes me sick to my stomach. Why should they trash this lady? She didn't do anything to them! The other magazine(OK, which i may cancel too) has tons of pics of sweet Michelle Obama, isn't that just sweet?!!

I actually have TWO years left on my subscription. SO, Paul thinks when i call them to actually cancel it...since you KNOW they won't actually call me back since it's a cancellation. That i tell them i'm taking the money and sending it directly to the republican party! That is a GREAT IDEA...and who knows, i probably will NOW! I would donate money to the republicans, but they really annoy me and call too much to beg for money! UGH!

Thanks for the heads up on the magazine! I hope we republicans teach the writers of US Weekly a lesson! Someone is going to suffer for this ridiculous magazine cover! :)

Have a great weekend!

Thank Goodness i have a sense of Humor!

This week in pics!

Sam pushing around all her babies... Organizing their babies in the diaper box we emptied...we actually emptied two of these this week! :) Princess Sarah on her bicycle... Princess Sarah showing me her hand!
Sam smiling!
Princess Sarah posing with her crown on Ok so now about our week...as the title states...thank goodness i have a sense of humor, otherwise i would have packed my bags and run off to Mexico! Reason being, Hannah has the icky bug as of TODAY! THE DAY i FINALLY took the girls back to school! UGH! I'm so sad...for her and for me! I really had hoped she wouldn't catch it. BUT, that's just life with 3 young kidos in the house of poop! he he he!

Poor Hannah. I had a feeling something was going on yesterday as she got home and ran to the potty. Then she got up this morning and ran to the potty again...she never GOES that much. She's always been my one a day child(if you know what i mean). BUT, then she ran to the potty AGAIN! I knew we were in for another ride on the poop train!

Other than that, things are same ole' same ole'. I'm guessing we'll skip our Friday night dinner again. We'll be stuck inside most of the weekend. It IS better with a 4 year old, than with the twins. At least it's not changing poopy diapers all day long. THAT was bad.
Here is the diet my children have been on for the past week! We have gone through 6 or 7 loaves of bread in one week as well as 2 baggies of rolls, 2 boxes of white rice, who knows how many bananas, and i could go on and on....
Yogurt is actually good to put the bacteria back in your body that you poop out. I never knew that before i had kids! I thought all dairy was bad...not exactly so!
Sarah eating rice and bread! Sam had a little accident with her yogurt! LOL!Showing me their bread. The aftermath! It's actually worse than this...all i can say is thank goodness for dogs that love the food off the floor. AND, thank goodness for my 2 handy dandy hand vacs i have...i use my old one until the battery dies...then i use the new one and that usually finishes up the job. Yes, i am a clean freak!Happy smiles, even with the food they were eating for SEVEN DAYS! I love happy babies!Rice a Roni is delicious! The girls first go at corn on the cob. They LOVE it. O, it's so much easier feeding them. They just don't eat meat. Probably wasn't the best idea to feed them corn when i knew it would come right back out...piece by piece! LOL!!Then there was jello! Sam decided to eat it with her HAND! Where did the spoon go?Sarah liked the jello...and used her spoon! Good girl!Sarah and her BRAT diet...Hmm..i'm getting really really SICK of this RICE MOMMY! Can you hook me up with some French fries instead?
BTW, they did finally get french fries for the first time in over a week, yesterday. I'm embarassed but proud to say they ate SOO many i thought they were going to puke as they were calling for more fren fries(which is how the pronounce french fries).

Hannah and her corn on the cob!

Sarah eating her corn with her (stuffed)Gracye right beside her!

Please cross your fingers this bug goes away soon! I feel so bad for the girls...and now i'm awaiting it to hit me or Paul!

Sams club email!

This is a email i copied and pasted from one of my family members. I wouldn't believe it, if i hadn't forwarded it to my MOMS group and a fellow mom emailed back and said she went to Walmart and there was, in fact, a blue sign on the door that said "code adam".

SO, Read below and be aware!

Forwarded from a Sam's Club employee . . .Wanted to share something that happened today while shopping at Sam's Club.A mother was leaning over looking for meat and turned around to find her 4 yr. old daughter was missing. I was standing there right beside her, and she was calling her daughter with no luck.I asked a man who worked at Sam's to announce it over the loud speaker for Katie. He did, and let me say he immediately walked right past me when I asked and went to a pole where there was a phone. He made an announcement for all the doors and gates to be locked, a code something. So they locked all the doors at once. This took all of 3 minutes after I asked the guy to do this. They found the little girl 5 minutes later in a bathroom stall. Her head was half shaved, and she was dressed in her underwear with a bag of clothes, a razor, and wig sitting on the floor beside her to make her look different.Whoever this person was, took the little girl, brought her into the bathroom, shaved half her head, and undressed her in a matter of less than 10 minutes. This makes me shake to no end. Please keep a close eye on your kids when in big places where it's easy for you to get separated. It only took a few minutes to do all of that-another 5 minutes and she would have been out the door. I am still in shock that some sick person could do this, let alone in a matter of minutes. The days are over when our little ones could run rampant all over the place and nothing would happen to them. The little girl is fine. Thank God for fast workers who didn't take any chances.BE SURE TO FORWARD THIS TO EVERYONE, SO THEY KNOW JUST HOW SICK PEOPLE ARE OUT THERE!!! (This happened at the Sam's Wholesale Club in Omaha , Nebraska .)This message has been added to the story above: I received this e-mail from one of my friends today. Let me first tell you that I work at the Sam's club in Lincoln , NE. The code that was spoken of is called a 'Code Adam'. It is named after John Walsh's (host of Americas Most Wanted) son Adam who was kidnapped and murdered many years ago. It is used in all Sam's Clubs, Wal-marts, and Wal-mart super centers to locate lost children. This is how it works. If by some means you have been separated with your child tell the nearest employee! The employee will page a 'Code Adam' (missing child in the store) over the intercom system followed by a description of the child (height, weight, hair color, age, name etc). When that page goes out all the exits are immediately guarded, and/or locked in some cases, also every employee will stop whatever they are doing no matter what it is and help look for the missing child. This will continue until the child is found. If the child is not found within a reasonable time then the police are notified and the store will conduct an isle by aisle e search. So if ever you are separated from your child now you know what to do.Missing children pictures hang by the exits of all Wal-mart and Sam's Club stores, please take a few minutes to look these over as you leave, you just might have seen one of the children on them and you might be the one to give their parents hope and give the police a new lead in finding them.Thank you,Sincerely, Rudy Magee Sam's Club #6413 Even if you do not have little kids, pass this one on to everyone you can think of. You never know who you might save by sending this email! Please take the time and forward this to any friend who has children & grandchildren! Some of us don't have little kids anymore but I'm sure we know people who do...please pass this on.

No stoppin the Poop!

Goodness Gracious! I'm so sick of poop! The girls are still pooping, with no end in sight. I'm at a my whits end as to what i should do. I am going to call the dr. tomorrow and see if there is some magical drug i can give them. I'm a bit worried that they aren't getting enough food and enough hydration...Sam seems a bit lethargic at times. BUT, i think she's just a bit more tired from the whole pooping thing. I can't believe we're going on one whole week of the poops!

Not much to report other than lots of poop!

Sat night dinner was just OK. We went to this place called Canyon Cafe and just as i had remembered, food wasn't very good and the place was just not all THAT. Other than that, of course we had a great time. It was nice to be away and get out of the house since we truly haven't been able to get out of the house much this past week. Poor babies have got to be bored with being in this darn house all day long. I'm sure it's driving them just as crazy as it's driving us.

I have to say, this weekend was nice for lots of extra rest. Sunday afternoon, we ALL took a 2 hour nap. When i mean ALL, i mean Paul, H & I slept in our bed(she loves sleeping with us) and S & S slept in their bed for a whole 2 hours. It was nice, despite the fact that i wanted to ring gracyes neck for barking at something outside and waking me up for a few minutes. Today we also had some good sleep. The girls didn't sleep well, but when they woke up, Paul & I both held one(i know, we shouldn't spoil them) and they went back to sleep until we WOKE THEM UP! LOL! I think they could sleep for hours on end, if we just held them in our arms!

I'm taking Hannah to school tomorrow and the girls are going to stay home with me. I have a feeling we'll be missing all week b/c of this sickness. I definitely can't take them to school sick like this. It was nice to have a 3 day weekend and have Paul helping me changing all these nasty diapers. It would be nice to have a washer to wash all the nasty clothes..but hopefully the dryer will be fixed by the end of the week. If it isn't, i'm going to be one mean mad mama!

Hope everyone had a nice safe Labor day! To most, this day means the end of summer. To us, it means another month or more of HEAT. I do look forward to nice cool weather..i know the girls are looking forward to it too. We are going to relish playing outside on the playset that has been sitting out in the backyard we haven't really seen in months with all the heat, sarah's stap, Hannah's surgery on her foot and Pauls Salmonella. Lots of weekends have been spent sitting in the cool house, away from bugs, skeeters, and heat.
