Happy 5th Birthday To Sarah & Samantha

WOW…i’m not sure where the time has gone! The girls are 5 and i feel like just yesterday i was holding two babies, feeding two babies and changing two babies diapers! NOW, we’re planning for kindergarten! Time has flown by and i cherish each day i have with my girls…and Hannah too!

We had a wonderful but busy Holiday Season. We started with the girls birthday party, which included a spa day for 10 of their closest little friends. THEN, we had Paul’s work party the next weekend. The following weekend we had a Xmas Party in Dallas. Then was Christmas. Next, we celebrated the twins real Birthday. After that, we headed for our lovely jaunt down to South Texas(The Valley). It was by far, the best trip we’ve taken down there to date! Not to many potty breaks along the way, i drove(so stress free), the girls had a blast and enjoyed playing with grandma and grandpa, we enjoyed the much more relaxing Progreso Neuvo-no more army guys over on the other side of the bridge, Hannah was able to even go down to Progreso Neuvo this time, we were able to see Pauls aunt and uncle that we hadn’t see in a long time, and on top of all that fun…it only took us FIVE hours to get home. Yes, one potty stop and that was it! AMAZING how much easier three little girls are once they are potty trained.

Anyway, the girls had a wonderful birthday-if i say so myself. So here are a few pics from the special day.

We’ve been busy to say the least! Christmas Family pics, Christmas parties at Pauls work x’s 2, Christmas Programs at the twins school, the girls had a Spa Birthday Party, my Dad celebrated 75 and we celebrated that too! It’s been BUSY…BUSY BUSY! Who can believe that the year is almost over and we’re headed full steam ahead into 2012!

Hannah’s 7th Birthday!

I’m sure it’s been a year since i updated! I guess life just gets in the way of blogger every once in a while. Along with children whining about being hungry, needing a booty wipe and or needing to be broken up from beating each other up! Life is great! The girls are all doing great! Hannah is headed to 2nd grade this year! All in all time just seems to fly by and before we know it…we’re celebrating another year of our beautiful children’s life’s!

She wanted to eat at the fancy table, and her dinner choice was beef tacos. We had to have a little lesson on being a princess before we ate.

Happy 6th Birthday to Hannah!

Finally got to take Hannah for her 6 year check up.

38lbs-9th percentile

height-10th percentile…i forgot the actual height

and they don’t do head circumference..instead they do some weird exam to check for ADHD…thankfully she passed with flying colors!

We had thought about a slumber party but time slipped away and we just had a family party after all. It was lots of fun spending time with her precious little cousins.

Happy 4th of July…

We had a fabulous 4th of July this year. We stayed home and we to our neighborhood party and parade. We decorated the girls bikes and they all rode them the entire parade…which is a huge ordeal for us.

Our Visit with Grandma & Grandpa Myers..

We sent Hannah to go stay with Grandma & Grandpa Myers for a few days…i know she had a blast. I have lots of pics from that trip…i just need to scan those and then post. I actually flew with her to Tulsa, OK…they met us there and took her back to their house. Then we planned a mini get away and met them in Texahoma to meet and pick her up. It was her first plane trip..and she did great. I know next year will be even more fun…and maybe, just maybe the little girls can go to and The Mr. & i might be able to go on a mini vacation to…Vegas or California Wine Country…..who knows.

I forgot to add that we also go to see our sweet nieces, Brooke & Nicole…as they went to see grandma too. Too bad i didn’t think to make some Camp Grandma’s house t-shirts…that would have been something fun to remember their great adventure…maybe next year! Swim Lessons 2010

Ms. Annmarie changed up her swim lesson procedures and some how we didn’t get as many classes as i would have liked. Two go cancelled, etc… I was a bit sad that the twins didn’t get more lessons…but two weeks seemed to do the trick. Of course, i’m sure it helps that we have a pool and swim daily. Here are some pics from the lessons-did i mention that Sarah can swim fairly well for a 3.5 year old? Of course Hannah is like a fish this year…and if we put her in next year it will only be to tweek her strokes and teach her new things…she is already a very calm amazing swimmer.

I can’t wait to see what NEXT SUMMER holds for the girls…i’m sure they’ll love the water and really swim like fish!

Hannah’s Kindergarten Graduation Party

Since CyFair ISD doesn’t do anything to celebrate the little one’s graduating from Kindergarten…which is a big deal for me…we decided to throw an all class kindergarten graduation party at our house. I had some planning to do…having invited 23 kidos over to our house in the middle of summer…

But all in all, we had a fabulous time!

It’s been a wonderful year for the girls at their new school. Despite all the sickness and my issues with germs…the girls have really grown to love their school. I enjoyed their teachers…and i’m sad that this year is over. I’m ready for the summer…in some ways.. In other ways(entertaining 3 children for 3 months) i’m not very sure if i’m looking forward to that or not. HA HA! Just Kidding! I know i will enjoy the summer with my girls…and we’ll find lots of fun things to do in and around town.

Swim Lessons Day 2!

We started swim lessons tonight. I just can’t tell you how or why Ms. A does such a good job. She is one AMAZING teacher…and my 3.5 year olds were totally attentive to her and did everything she said…P & I were both shocked. They said NO a few times..but once one would do it…so would the other. I’m one proud mama tonight…and looking forward to our second private lesson tomorrow.

Hannah blows us away every time. I think she may decide to swim for the Coles crocs one day…i would love for her to swim…if not, there is always track and field. She is SOO much more athletic than Paul or I…it’s so exciting! I’ll spare you some of the less exciting pics…but by the end of our 30 minute private lesson..she was just swimming. :>) That’s my girl!

Blue Bonnets 2010

It’s been our tradition for the past 8 years..to go take pics in the blue bonnets. This year was so much fun. Despite sitting in traffic for over 2 hours to head 1 hour north of our home…we still had a blast. Even after that long drive & not having had lunch yet..at 1pm, the girls still smiled and posed like professionals.

Grandma & Grandpa Myers came through town on their way back to KS! We had a few Easter Egg Hunts planned for Saturday..so they jumped right in and helped the girls stuff their Easter Eggs.

All in all we had a great weekend at our Easter festivities and hanging with Grandma & Grandpa Myers…

Happy Hannah…who by the way used to “LIVE” on hot dogs. To the extent that we were worried that’d be ALL she’d ever eat..or perhaps, she’d turn INTO a hot dog! HA!

Just wondering how many issues with hair we will have in this house? HA HA!

YES, that is GUM in her hair. I heard her say something about gum earlier in the day while we were driving through the car line to get Hannah…but we all forgot by the time we got home. UNTIL i saw something BLUE in her hair!

NOT SO HAPPY SAM!

SOO sad…BYE BYE PRETTY HAIR…now there is a big ole’ spot in the middle of her head!

For the 100th Day of school for Hannah…we decorated a cardboard 100…with whatever we chose to use. We chose red/blue butterflies and some cool heart bling..since V-day was coming up! I think it turned out really well!

Hannah was soo proud of it!

She requested to wear her 100th day shirt from St. Rose…so we pulled it out of her closet and she wore it one more time. AND on top of that…her teachers bday was on the 100th day of school..so all of the children took her flowers. SOO CUTE!

I went to Hannah’s School Party the Thursday before V-day…it was SOO much fun. Some of the parents didn’t see the point…i love going…i love seeing Hannah with her friends…interacting…telling me all about her class. She LOVES school, loves her teacher, her friends, it’s all soo great. Some day’s i’m soo sad that we haven’t sold our other house…but then i see the smile on her face…she LOVES her school…her friends…and everything about her new home. It might not be the perfect situation right now…but i don’t regret it…i’m soo happy that my girls are happy..the love their new schools..and that is the MOST important thing for me.

I am just dumping pics from my camera…i think Hannah actually did this to them. They were SOO excited about all this PINK…Gotta love a house full of girls and pink! HA! P.S. Sam wears that nasty dirty VERY OLD AND VERY SMALL shirt EVERYDAY! I’m going to have to save it for her to see when she gets older..it’s been washed too many times and that skirt is a 12-18 month. My girlfriend and pledge sister bought a monogramming machine..i’m LOVING all her cool ideas and t-shirts she’s made for the girls and ME!

Since the girls are finally feeling better and i took them BACK to school after being gone for 3 weeks..i thought i’d go up to have lunch with my big girl! She was SOO excited…she wanted to dress alike! SO, she pulled out her new t-shirt monogrammed by tiffany! She also had me wear mine..and of course the girls wore their shirt to school! Pretty darn cute!

We had the girls party at our house Dec 5th, 2009! The day before..it snowed. YES, who would ever think it’d snow in TX..and soo early into the winter! SO, with 25 kids coming over..we had to change from letting the kids play in the backyard..to inside crafts. We had our wonderful babysitter come over and paint faces, i had a crafts table, and the we also had the play room full of toys. On top of that..i bought a pinata for the kids to beat on. The girls had a blast..and most importantly i don’t have to hear them telling me over and over..”your not coming to my party if you don’t…” LOL!

It’s been a while..life has been crazy!

We had the girls 3rd Birthday Party on Dec 5th. Just picture -23 little kiddies running around our house..and STUCK INSIDE b/c of the COLD WET WEATHER. FUN TIMES, and it taught me to always be prepared to whatever mother nature throws your way! We had some craft stuff at the tables inside and a Pinata-which was a BIG hit. Then we had our babysitter come over and paint faces..which was a big hit for everyone except the twins-go figure.

I’ve had TOO many Christmas parties to count…work parties, school party, our neighborhood moms group xmas party, etc. CRAZY few weeks for me.

On top of all of this..my mom was in the hospital last week…there assuming she has vertigo from inner ear issues…we’re not 100% sure about that though.

Lastly, we hosted Christmas at our house this year…i just love this house…i feel like we could have a party of 50 here..and not feel crammed.

I feel bad..i didn’t get very many pics b/c this is one of the very small amount of times Hannah really had a break down. Character Parade @ Hannah’s school!

I worked pretty hard on my first project for Hannah’s class the last few days. They have an annual Character day Parade every year…this entails each child in grade K-2, picking out and getting all dressed up as a character from a book they like to read. Hannah wanted to be..PINKALICIOUS! DUH! I made her tutu and her wings..i thought i did a pretty good job for an amateur. Remind me next time..to just go buy the tutu though..it would have been easier and almost a bit cheaper..TULLE is pretty pricy if you don’t conserve.

I made the wings myself…Pink-Alicious….I think they came out pretty darn cute.

We decided last minute, to take a ride on out to dewberry farm today. It was actually COLD outside for those of us that were wearing shorts. We left just in time to miss the rain. The girls had a BLAST!

The girls are loving school..just not liking the whole “car line” drop off. They do NOT like when i drive up and they have to go with a different stranger every time. :<(

Here are a few pics from the big day! I sure did miss them the first day they were gone..now i’m finally starting to relax and enjoy my time alone.

When i picked them up the first day they told me ALL about their day. It was SOO cute. Sam told me how she had strawberries and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and ate ALL her food. Sarah was telling me all about the big red dog book her teacher read to them. I know they are loving it and meeting tons of new friends.

They had to hook their lunch bags on to their backpacks..they LOVE their new backpacks and lunch bags…and LOVE eating their own food.

Hannah is officially a kindergartner. I don’t know where the time has gone! It seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital! She’s grown into such a beautiful little girl. We love her so much!

Well maybe not..but i’m throwing in the towel on this POS! I’m just sick of it doing crazy things..SOOO just today i told Paul that’s it…i’m DONE! THEN, he finally figured out that it was ME, tapping the itsy bitsy very sensitive mouse pad and obviously the computer company knew there would be issues and put a FCN F3 key to shut off the mouse pad since my hands are so close to it when i type. AND LOW and behold i’ve typed this entire blog without one issue! GO FIGURE! FINALLY a REASON for this computer doing crazy things! CAN I GET A AMEN ON THAT ONE! LOL!

With all that being said…and DONE, i have tons of pics from the past month..

The Downtown Aquarium

We decided to make the drive into Houston on Sunday after working in the front yard for a few hours. The girls were soo good the entire time we were working we thought they really deserved a fun treat. They are definitely at that age where they really enjoyed the aquarium, fish, sharks, and rides! We had a blast..and hope to go back in the fall sometime…or maybe next time we’ll make it all the way to Kemah, to that Aquarium!

We requested a table right in front of the big fish tank in the middle of the dining room..for some crazy reason they normally sit us in the back and it annoys me since we have 3 kids that can’t see when they sit us back that far…this time was great…the tank was right in front of us..FABULOUS!

Anyway, here are a few videos from last night in the pool…they are loving these new puddle jumpers..and they work wonders for non swimmers. Who ever made these finally got it right with keeping a childs head above water!

I think you can turn the volume down so all you see is the brave little girls jumping off the top of the HOT TUB..yeah, they are brave little girls. I think they get that from me! My Hannah is growing up..

My absence of blogging has a lot to do with my computer that is on it's way home from the Doctor! I swear the thing just doesn't work like my old whoopty did. My old one had a major problem with not shutting off at night and turning on and off without me hitting a button..but the KEYS worked. With this new one..the keys just never seem to work the way i want them to work. They do crazy things..it's FUNNY..sometimes!

Anyway, on top of that i've been busy entertaining my three little cutie pies this summer! We've been pretty busy. I think i've been busier than them though! Between play dates, cleaning, cooking, settling into the house, unpacking, painting, revamping the front and back yards..seems like i've lost track of everything else.

BUT, the reason i'm posting today is that my BIG GIRL..is turning FIVE SOON! I can't believe it! FIVE YEARS ago she was almost here...as a matter of fact i THINK today was my actual due date. Yes, 4 days late..she was! In the past five years we've come so far..she's grown into such a little girly girl! She's smart, beautiful, sweet, LOVES HER SISTERS MORE THAN ANYTHING and i couldn't be happier. I need to go back in the next few days and post some pics of my baby..when she WAS a baby..she was tiny, precious, had BLACK CURLY hair..and tons of it. She was beautiful...and the light of our life. I couldn't imgaine my life..without her. If i had to describe her in one word, it'd be ME! She's just like me..just 28 years younger. :>)

Anyway, today starts the count down..of 5 days till her 5th birthday! We have a big exciting bash planned at a local gymnastics place..so i'm sure i'll have tons of pics to add after Saturday. This party has been really hard and stressful to plan this year. I wanted her to have a big bash..lots of friends & family..but it's a bit smaller since we're really in between friends for her. She hasn't really met any of her new friends she'll go to school with out here..and since we're moving on..it's hard to invite her old friends..since we won't see them much anymore AND since we haven't seen them all summer either. SAD i know.

Anyway, with all that being said..let's see if i can find a few good pics of my sweet angel!

You wouldn’t believe it, but we are about 1/2 mile away from these beautiful horses. SOO, we went to feed them some apples today! We didn’t have any carrots to feed them..but since the girls are on a apple kick right now..we have plenty of apples to feed them! :>)

We had TOO much fun at my MOMS children Social, Saturday Afternoon! I was a bit worried b/c it was not until 4:15, which is kinda late and close to dinner time for the girls. They had a blast and were all worn out but Happy and cordial for dinner!

We’ve done a LOT of swimming this summer..so most of my pics revolve around that.

Hannah is an star swimmer after 4 short weeks of swimming classes..thanks to her teacher Ms. Annmarie! I look forward to taking the girls next year..and really think having the pool will really help the girls with their swimming skills.

Hannah did AWESOME! She even shocked the teacher when she told her she could jump off the rock and swim to the side without any assistance. I think my little girl is a natural. Hmm..maybe an Olympic swimmer..do they make lots of money?! LOL! Just kidding!

Hannah started her second round of swim lessons today..she is really having a blast and learning a TON! I didn’t get any pics..but tomorrow i’ll try to remember my camera. This time around we’re taking them during the day instead of at night..so i have to take the twins along with me..which is a bit less relaxing than before…LOL! BUT, they did really good today & i had Paul stop off on the way home and get some loli pops on the way home to take and give the girls..since Ms. Annmarie gives all her students one, everyday!

Other than that..my parents and sister and bro in law came over this Sunday & we had a great time. Hannah loves her cousin SOO much & they get along soo well. I sure hope they stay this close..well, until they hit their late teenage years and start fighting over guys! UGH..i’m NOT looking forward to THAT!

Hannah Swim Lessons – Day TWO

I know i’m biased..but Hannah is just an amazing child. She succeeds like no other child her age..she never says no to others(note i didn’t say to Paul or I) and she just wants to please everyone that she knows. With all that being said..the child is a water baby. She is my little shining star.

Ms. AnnMarie(the swim teacher) said she’s doing better on day two, than most do, by the end of a lesson..

Did i mention how determined she is to learn…she begs me to take her out to our pool EVERYDAY when the girls are napping..it’s precious and of course i never say no. Who doesn’t need a break after unpacking box after box…

The poor girl is amazing..it was pouring down rain..freezing cold for the poor 34.7lb little girl. She was shivering..and still did great!

Under water again..i’m going to have to reward her for how good she has done..working in the water, begging to take a bath to put her head under water…in the pool, etc.

At the end of each lesson the jump in..the poor baby was shivering and still did it. WHOO HOO!

And neither is blogger...wondering if my computer is on the fritz. BY NOW i should have had 100 pics added to blogger. Instead i have no blogs and no pics. SOOO, after my sweet hubby helps and figures out what is wrong..no pics..no posts! LOL! Hopefully we'll get this issue fixed soon. Every time i load it says i exceeded my pics..WHAT? I haven't added pics in ages..and there is no way that is correct! Annoyed..to say the least. I have SOO many pics i want to post..about the house, last day of school and Hannah's swimming class. BUT, since this crappy blogger isn't working..you'll have to wait until it works! :)

We had a great Year with Ms. Anna….i can’t tell you how much i cried when we were leaving. She was great with the girls and always told me how good they did and what they learned. They were also sad to see them leave..i think they really enjoyed comparing who was doing what, when..

Water day- St. Rose 2009 – 5/27/09

Today Paul stayed home with the twins, while i went to school with Hannah to help with her water day. Lots of parents pitched in and brought something for the kidos to play. I took in some side walk chalk, my bubble machine, and also had the bright idea of a water balloon toss. You can see the day in pics..

More water balloon toss..the kidos really enjoyed it..but the balloons weren’t filled with enough water and they were busting that well. My favorite part, that’ll i’ll remember for a while..i was teaching the kidos how to bust the balloons since we just weren’t making any progress with the balloon toss and threw one at Ms. Cantus feet and WHAM..it totally busted! LOL!

School is drawing to an end..

And i’ve been one crazy mama these days. From going back and forth once a day to the new house..the keeping the girls home from school for a few weeks to keep that nasty swine out of my house. We officially move out of this house the weekend after Memorial day, since Hannah will be done with school. BUT, we are going to sleep at the new house this weekend b/c we just can’t wait any longer. I’m really loving the new house..but very anxious to sell the house we are living in now. With the economy the way it is..it’s stressful. BUT, i know we just need on family to fall in love with this house the way we did 3 years ago!

The girls are really keeping me busy these days. They are all 3 the cutest little girls ever.

Hannah is growing by leaps and bounds and soo ready to be tall enough to eat without a booster chair..to be tall enough to stand in our new pool without a float..to be big enough to make it all the way across the monkey bars at school like some of her friends can do now. This past year has been really good for her..she’s learned WAY more than i ever though she’d learn in one year. She’s just SMART for her age. I may be a little biased…but what can i say..she’s my mini me! :) We’ve been chatting a lot lately about moving and she’s said she’s really ready to move. She’s excited about meeting new friends..walking to school or riding the bus..starting swimming lessons the very first day of her summer break..and maybe taking dance lessons if we can find a fun place for that. She’s also really excited about turning 5! WHOA..i still can’t believe she’ll be 5 soo soon! She’s not my little baby anymore..despite the fact that i still carry her to bed every night, just as we’ve done since she was old enough to crash on the couch, while watching t.v! :) She’s such a sweet motherly little girl. She takes such good care of her sisters..it’s just precious! She will help them with snacks, drinks, read them books and even help them say their prayers at night before bed. It’s just TOO cute.

The girls are growing by leaps and bounds too! We are soo very blessed to have them and Hannah! They are so amazingly smart for their age. They talk in complete sentences, know most of their primary colors, sing their abc’s, love to watch movies and truly have a bond like no other. I’ve heard people say how the twin bond is so tight and they will be best friends forever..and for a while there, i was really doubting that. The biting was non stop and hair pulling and hitting and everything else that comes along with a sibling, we’re BAD! Lately, it’s so different. If one twin gets hurt..the other runs to her aid..and kisses her, holds her hand and does everything she can to make the other one happy. It’s amazing. Just yesterday i dropped Hannah off at school and Sarah & Sam were in the back and insisted in sitting next to each other(which could have had something to do with wanting to sit in Hannah’s seat)..but i gave in and let them. We were on our way to the grocery store and hear them giggling and laughing and one say to the other ‘Hold my hand sissy…Hold my hand”! I turn around to check it out and they are just holding hands laughing and giggling. I’m a tab jealous in a way…i never had that bond they have..i never will. Not because i didn’t want it..just because my sisters and i were years apart..and never hung out with the same friends. They are two very lucky little girls to have each other. And with Hannah being so close in age..i bet she will also be very close to them.

THREE YEARS AGO..our life changed FOREVER!

I think about it EVERY year in May! The day that we found out we were Pregnant for the second time. I think the reason that it’s still so significant, is not that i was just pregnant..but it makes me giggle to think that we had no idea what was in store for us. How we’d have TWO babies instead of one. I still remember those few weeks like they were yesterday. I went to the dr. for my regular OB appt. I told him we had decided we were ready for another baby(or at least I was ready-LOL) and so we were going to start trying again. Dr. B actually laughed and told me: “Well, then i’ll probably see you in a month or two!” I laughed and told him..yeah probably! You see, i’m not in denial, that i’m one of “those” people most love to hate. Hate may be a strong word..but dislike for the simple reason that i’m as fertile as they get(or as my dr. calls me a fertile myrtle). You can LOOK at me and i get pregnant! Well NOT really, but you get the idea. So we started trying in March..and then in April. I bought a ton of those cheapo pregnancy tests on Ebay so i could test as soon as possible and wouldn’t waste tons of money on those pricy tests. I tested in April and was not pregnant. No biggie..just the first shot..i mean who ever gets prego on their very first shot besides a teenager or someone that had no intention of actually GETTING pregnant! NO offense to anyone out there..but you again, know what i mean!! Anyway, in May we had Pauls brothers wedding. I was right on target to take a test the week prior to leaving..and i kept on taking them. ALL of them came out negative. I had assumed that meant that i wasn’t pregnant. I wanted to know for sure b/c i wanted to have a few drinks and hang with his awesome family. All came back negative..which made me ASSUME i was NOT pregnant. We left for our trip..which was crazy b/c Hannah ended up getting a virus and vomited and vomited the one night we stopped in AR and it was my very first experience with vomit..THAT was a rough day. The lesson i learned from that was to always keep an extra car seat cover in your car..and hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Paul had to take the car seat out..spray it down with a hose and put it back in so we could keep going(at the hotel after poor Hannah had vomited all the way to the hot springs-we never actually made it to see). That night we ended up in the ER…Hannah just would not stop vomiting and i was worried. The ER dr. gave her a phenegran, even though she wasn’t quite 2 and we went on our way. Thankfully she was FINE after that. The next day we went to the wedding..the following day we were off to Pauls parents for a mini vacation. We got back to Houston on a Monday night..still hadn’t started by then. I decided in my head to take one more prego test..JUST IN CASE! Low and behold, it came back positive. I KNEW IT! Although it was very weird b/c it took almost 6 weeks for it to come back positive. I WAS PREGNANT FOR THE SECOND TIME..And my calculations pointed towards Hannah being 30ish months..

Anyway, that was beside the point. I WAS pregnant. We called people right away. I’ve never been superstitious about telling people early..Paul wanted me to wait..but seriously, i’m NOT one to keep a secret for more than ONE MINUTE! HA HA! SOO, i guess that means no one will ever tell me another secret in my life.

NEXT was to make an appt with Dr. B! I called the next day and we set a date for an ultra sound. We had to wait 2 more weeks. His theory was that if you came BEFORE you could hear or see the heart beat..you’d freak out and so we waited until you could at least SEE the heart beat. SO, two weeks later on 6/3/06, we dropped sweet Hannah off at MDO and off to the OB.

I wasn’t really nervous..well i mean, not overly nervous. Your always nervous about going to the OB, and always pray for a healthy baby! I’m not different..i wanted a healthy baby..i didn’t really care about the sex, although i can’t say i didn’t want a boy. I mean..who doesn’t want ONE BOY, ONE GIRL and a white picket fence, right?? BUT, most importantly i wanted a healthy baby(see i said A) healthy baby! LOL!!

The normal process for the first OB appt is always an ultra sound. SO, we go back to the US room and i get un-dressed and wait. The nurse comes in to help me figure out my due date(1/19/07-Pauls Birthday), etc. She starts messing with Paul and says : “so, how many do you want???” Paul and i BOTH start laughing..FOR REAL! We both said.. “Well, ONE would be Nice.” We all giggled and she went on her way. She came back in with the dr…and the exam started. I won’t go into details about the US you have when your 8 wks prego for the sake of the men reading this..but ya’ll know what i’m talking about, ladies. Anyway, he does what he needs to do and starts moving the little “wand'” around..nope, guys, it’s not a fairy wand either! LOL! AND THEN Dr. B says: “SOOOO HOW MANY DID YOU WANT AGAIN?????” We both yelled ONE! He said.. “well, there are two”. I immediately started bawling like a baby. WHAT??? WHAT DO YOU MEAN??? He said: “Well, there’s one heart beat(and moved the wand around a bit) and there’s the other”! NO WAAAAYYY!! He said : “YOU are having TWINS!” I just looked at Paul and said “well, we’re going to need a nanny NOW for sure!” LOL! At that point he started checking everything out..all looked good, but he wanted us to go back into his office and go over the procedure and appt info..as well as info on identical twins..b/c he had already knew they were IDENTICAL! Isn’t THAT crazy? Eight weeks along and he could tell they were identical. I wasn’t 100% sure i believed him..but we just went along with it and he went over all the stats of identical twins..momo/momo-mo-di, etc. He also did warn me that things could change..went over all the stats..told me to research twins..warning me cautiously that things happen when your carrying more than one..just to research it and that was that. I asked him if i should go see a peri/high risk dr. and he said he could handle it. My favorite part was that..there was NO WAY he’d make me have these babies naturally-you know..the way i did with Hannah. AMEN to that, since she had broken my tail bone!

That day we went to Churacos for lunch and just sat there..and stuffed my face…b/c i had the OK to eat LOTS of food! LOL! WHOO HOO…that was MY FAVORITE PART! There was no stopping me..until morning sickness hit! HA HA!

After that..the rest is history..

I still look back sometimes when i’m in the car day dreaming and listening to my THREE GIRLS talking..it’s STILL crazy! I have THREE girls..and i only had to be pregnant TWICE! HOW COOL IS THAT?! How many people are lucky enough to have twins..AND not only that..THREE BEAUTIFUL GIRLS, albeit only one looks like me! LOL! BUT, they are all beautiful and so precious!

AND THAT my friends, is what i have on my mind EVERY MAY..i think about how funny that day was..and i think it’s more engraved in my head than the day i got married. Don’t get me wrong..they are ALL important days..but that day will stick with me and i will tell the story over and over..to the girls as they get older..to my grandchildren..and MAYBE JUST MAYBE to my great grandchildren! I know..i know..i’m pushing it! But, it’s a great story..and i don’t mind telling anyone that asks..because it’s just soo cool and amazing!

AWW..i can’t even remember when she was THIS SMALL! NOW, looking at these pics..she TOTALLY looks like her sisters! Esp. her face..SOO SWEET!

AND THEN THERE WERE TWO MORE! If you look REALLY close you can see the plus signs on the left..those are two babies..head to toe. SOOO TINY! This was 8 wks & measuring 7w5 d sooo right on target! I was SOO blessed with such a healthy twin pregnancy..i couldn’t have asked for more.

We start moving stuff into our new house NEXT SUNDAY! It’s soo exciting but so sad b/c THIS is the very first house the twins have lived in..i brought them home HERE! Although i don’t have fun memories about their first days here..with the house open to the elements and the contractor that took 3 grand extra and ran..and how they didn’t have a real “nursery” to come home to..but it was the very first house they’ve lived in, so it’s going to be hard to explain to them why were moving to this new house. With Hannah..it wasn’t hard..and i don’t worry about them, b/c in all reality they have such a great support group with a BIG SISTER that is SOO WONDERFUL TO THEM! BUT, Poor Hannah has lived in TOO many houses to count(well 3) but The girls were brought home to this house..and now it’s just going to be a memory! We’ve made some great memories here..but it’s time to move on to new things. I just WONDER how many houses my girls will live in..HOW MANY KIDS do you know that have lived in 3 houses..going on 4…by the time they were only 4.5 years old?? SOO SAD..i hope we settle into this house and stay for a while.

Here are some pics from the rain we had a few days ago. It was HORRIBLE and really rained from 5pm on Monday until Tuesday morning about 5am-NON STOP!

Since we have a wonderful lovely neighbor that had bought the lot next door(years before we moved in) assuming he’d one day have enough money to build his “dream home” and obviously doesn’t have the money…he’s letting it all grow over and there are weeds galore. This is what happens as the grass grows high..and the water can’t get through fast enough! Gotta love “those” neighbors!! LOL!

More pics..i think it’s time to give the guy a call and tell him to get with it or i’m REALLY going to report him to the city for not mowing his grass. Did i also mention that he’s left a stagnant pool of YUCK right beside us..luckily he’s nice enough to fill the BROWN pool with fish to keep the TX size mosquitos away…not really sure it works..but we’ll pretend like it does. :)

AND Since Hannah’s school suddenly decided to close and didn’t tell us…we brought everyone home through the flood and Hannah painted this lovely apple tree. I think she’s going to be an ARTIST! She’s sooo good at drawing!

You can’t see too well..but these are my poor feet after being attacked by fire ants while going down the row with one of my sweet older neighbors(Charlie-who reminds me soo much of my grandpa)..to unclog the drains and get the water moving. Those little ~~bastards~~ suckers bit me about 10 or 12 times. When it first happened i felt a sting..but they didn’t itch until the middle of the night..NOW, they are still itching horribly..to the point that i scratch and they bleed!

This is what happens when the girls are over-tired and fighting their naps..they fall asleep hanging off of the couch! LOL! HILARIOUS! I

March of Dimes 2009! What a GREAT YEAR!

The walk was amazing..just as always. The booth turned out fantastic! Hannah was an angel and was such a BIG HELPER! I love having a 4.5 year old! Thank you to Mary, Anseli, Melody & Ben, and my Hannah! We had soo much fun! Just wish we would have had more people from our moms group show up. Carrie & her hubby, Jennifer & her hubby & Gwen & her kidos all showed up. THANK YOU FOR COMING! I’m passing on the torch next year as i really enjoy raising funds and walking more than all the stress of trying to get people to help out and donate items- and volunteer to help with the booth. I hope someone will take on the job..if not, i will still do my part and walk, knowing it’s for such a great cause. :>)

Enjoy the pics..the weather was beautiful and WOW..the t-shirts tell stories that would make anyone cry & smile! I saw one t-shirt that said..i was walking for me..now i’m walking for others-with a pic of a itsy bitsy NICU baby. Breaks you heart and makes you smile all in one second! I LOVE a happy ending..

These days seem to all run together and i never feel like i have enough sleep. What was i thinking when i agreed to Co-chair our Mothers of Multiples March of dimes family team walk??!!! Between that and keeping up with 2-2 year olds, 1-4.5 year old that LOVES working in her educational work books, field trips, garage sales, bake sales and such..i’ve been pretty darn busy. O yeah and did i mention i have to keep the house clean just in case we have to show our house.

NOW, on Friday afternoon Gracye ripped her other ACL and she’s having her second surgery(the other leg) in a week! SOO, that doesn’t help any b/c now we have to keep her inside at all times, or walk her on a leash…as if i didn’t have enough to do without THIS drama! :) The best part is that she WILL be OK! The best part is that the dr. said the best rehab for this kind of injury is swimming..well, nice that our new house has a pool! :)

Happy Easter to everyone! We had a AWESOME Easter! Here are some pics from Good Friday. My parents and sister came over and we had a Easter Egg hunt, decorated the cakes i baked, dyed some eggs, and opened a few presents. Man, i think it looked like Christmas around here that day. My parents bought the girls presents, my oldest sister bought the girls presents and Jennifer bought everyone presents too! PLUS i have bought them a few dollar presents myself.

M: "Honey, your teeth are going to fall out sooner or later, you shouldn't make it sooner b/c then you won't have any teeth for a while"
H: "BUT, the sooner the better...the faster the tooth fairy will come see me and bring me some money or make up and jewerly!"
M: "Honey, i promise she'll come sooner or later..PLEASE, JUST GO BRUSH YOUR TEETH!!"

She finally went and brushed! Ahh..i can't believe you don't have to have a degree in "parenting" to be a mom. BUT, perhaps a degree in psychology would be better..i'd learn all the tricks on REVERSE PSYCHOLOGY!

This is our Third year to take pics of all three of my girls together! Every year we’ve stated-as we were driving off: “think how much fun next year will be!” This year, that didn’t even cross our mind or come out of our mouth. Seriously, this was, by far, the BEST year we’ve had..and i honestly don’t think next year can get any better! The girls REALLY had a blast..laying in the flowers, running through the flowers, picking a few(please don’t tell anyone or we may go to the pokey for that one :)! All in all we had soo much fun, but we’re exhausted now! :)

We didn’t get a great family pic..but i got a TON of really cute pics of the girls. We didn’t go with my sister this year since we planned this last minute and headed straight to the MOMS Easter Social as soon as we were done with pics. Luckily, there was a really nice family taking pics while we were their..so the nice man took a few pics of us..but just as he was taking them, the sun was shining BRIGHT and the wind was BLOWING pretty hard..but we have a few either way! :)

P.S. WARNING..there are a TON of pics…i went crazy..took like 200 pics and couldn’t decide which were the best! :)
